In this session, I demonstrated how to drape the corset pattern directly on the dress form. I started by preparing straight grain fabric pieces and pinning the center front line. Then, I shaped the fabric around the bust and waist areas, pinning and trimming as needed to achieve a smooth fit.

I guided through the step-by-step process of draping a corset pattern on the dress form, working section by section from the center front to the side panels.

Lesson Steps:

• Pin the straight grain center front line on the dress form
• Shape and pin the fabric around the bust, making small cuts for shaping as needed
• Pin and trim at the waistline, leaving seam allowances
• Mark and label the first pattern piece, then remove it
• Repeat the process for the side front panels, pinning and shaping each section
• Mark and label each pattern piece in order before removing
• Once all sections are draped, clean up the seamlines
• Sew the pieces together and refine the fit on the dress form
• Make any final adjustments to the pattern before transferring it to paper
