In this lesson, I taught how to cut three different t-shirt patterns from jersey fabric. I demonstrated how to pin and cut the fabric for each design, emphasizing that this was an experimental process to show different shapes and techniques. I also explained the basic assembly steps for each t-shirt style.
Lesson Steps:
- Pin the pattern outline to the fabric
- Cut along the pinned lines for each t-shirt design
- Clean up the hem and adjust for any irregularities
- For the first t-shirt (black lines):
- Cut on the fold
- Sew from the armhole down the side seam
- For the second t-shirt (red lines):
- Cut two pieces to form a triangle shape
- For the third t-shirt (green lines):
- Cut in two different colors
- Sew the pieces together along the center front, shoulder, and side seams
Remember, this is an experimental process to demonstrate shapes and techniques
