In this guide, I walk you through the process of drafting a bespoke fitted master torso block.

I cover everything from setting up your paper with the correct measurements to creating the back and front sections, including details on how to draft the neckline, shoulder line, darts, and armholes.

This comprehensive lesson provides step-by-step instructions for creating a personalized torso block that will serve as the foundation for future garment designs.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Prepare paper with correct width and length based on bust measurements
  2. Mark key points and draw initial lines for back and front sections
  3. Draft back section, including neckline, shoulder line, and back dart
  4. Create front section, including neckline, bust point, and front dart
  5. Draw armholes for both back and front sections
  6. Refine curves and lines to complete the torso block

Remember, this is my personal method, and while it may differ slightly from draping techniques, it’s an effective way to create a custom block for your body measurements.

Don’t hesitate to pause the video or rewatch sections as needed to fully grasp each step of the process.
