In this guide, I teach how to transform a fitted bodice with a sleeve into a sleeveless bodice block.

I explain the necessary adjustments to the shoulder, armhole, and side seam to create a well-fitting sleeveless bodice, taking into account different bust sizes and the need for a closer fit without a sleeve.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Adjust the shoulder: Move in 1 cm and up 1 cm from the original shoulder point.
  2. Modify the side seam: Move in 1 cm from the original side seam at the underarm area.
  3. Adjust the armhole: Raise the underarm point by 1 cm.
  4. For smaller bust sizes (below D cup): Move in 1 cm at the front armhole area.
  5. For larger bust sizes: Consider keeping the front armhole area as is to avoid spillage.
  6. Redraw the armhole curve connecting the new points.
  7. Straighten the side seam from the new underarm point down.
  8. Try on the adjusted pattern and make further adjustments if necessary.
