In this session, I taught how to pad a dress form to match specific body measurements and shape.

I demonstrated adding padding to create a fuller bust, rounded stomach, and wider hips to replicate the body’s curves.

Lesson Steps:

  • Measured the body at key points (bust, waist, hips, etc.) and compared to dress form
  • Pinned dress form at measured lengths to mark where padding needed to be added
  • Cut batting pieces to cover areas needing extra padding (bust, stomach, hips)
  • Draped and pinned batting layers onto the dress form, molding and shaping as needed
  • Stitched padding layers in place once the desired shape was achieved
  • Adjusted padding as required to precisely match the body’s measurements
