In this week’s session, I focused on creating and attaching the puff sleeves for our Freya dress project.

We went through the detailed process of constructing the sleeves with facing and lining, then gathered and pinned one sleeve to the dress form.

The session culminated in an exciting reveal of the dress’s stunning silhouette with the newly added sleeve, showcasing the dramatic and romantic effect we were aiming for.

Demonstration Steps:

1. Interfaced the sleeve facings
2. Attached facings to the main sleeve pieces
3. Sewed lining to the sleeve and facing
4. Pressed and trimmed seams for a clean finish
5. Turned sleeves right side out and pressed
6. Added gathering stitches to the sleeve cap
7. Adjusted gathers to fit the armhole measurements
8. Pinned one sleeve to the dress on the dress form
