In this session, I taught how to create a very close-fitting jersey sloper by draping fabric directly on the dress form. I carefully pinned and transferred the fabric lines onto paper, ensuring accurate measurements for a snug fit.

I demonstrated the process of creating a close-fitting jersey sloper by draping fabric on a dress form, transferring the lines to paper, and making necessary adjustments for an accurate, snug fit.

Lesson Steps:

  • Pin the fabric directly on the dress form, ensuring a very close fit
  • Transfer the pinned lines onto paper, marking the center front, shoulders, armholes, and side seams
  • Measure and adjust the pattern pieces for accurate bust, waist, and hip measurements
  • Refine the neckline, armholes, and side seams for a smooth, flattering shape
  • Label the pattern pieces as a “Very Close Full Body Jersey Sloper” with no seam allowance
