In this week’s session, I demonstrated two quick and easy techniques for creating draped knot details on tops using jersey fabric. I showed how to create a simple knot detail by folding and stitching fabric, then draping it on a dress form to create an interesting top design. The session focused on spontaneous design and pattern creation using basic blocks and draping techniques.

1. Folded and stitched jersey fabric to create a knot detail
2. Draped the fabric with knot detail on a dress form

4. Transferred the draped design to pattern paper using a basic block
