In this session, I demonstrated finishing the inside of the shirt with clean French seams, leveled the hem and neckline, and attached bias binding around the bottom hem and neckline.
Lesson Steps:
- Leveled the hem and neckline edges for a clean finish
- Attached bias binding around the bottom hem by folding, pressing, and stitching close to the seam
- Struggled a bit to keep stitches neat but achieved a decent finish visible from a distance
- Attached bias binding around the neckline, taking care to encase the French seam
- Adjusted and re-stitched areas that didn’t meet my standards for a clean, professional look
- Felt proud of the neat neckline finish, appearing seamless from the right side
I meticulously finished the inside with French seams, then attached bias binding at the hem and neckline. Despite some challenges keeping stitches perfect, I persisted until the finishes looked professional and seamless from the outside.
