The Emily dress combines couture influences from ‘John Galliano for Dior’ inspired skirt with a flowy draped bias cut cowl neck bodice for a flirty, chic, romantic, and elegant silhouette.
Dress Description:
- Cowl neck, sleeveless top
- A-line silhouette
- Draped front skirt
- Below knee length
- Fully lined
- Invisible zipper at CB
Construction Details and Steps:
- The muslin preparation
- The bodice draped on Bias
- Creative fold and pre- application applied to fabric and draped for skirt
- The draped pieces are marked and transferred to the paper
- The sewable pattern created
- Cut and sew details for top fabric and the lining
- Hand finishings
- Review of styling
Fabric detail and usage:
- Approximately, 1.5 yards Lightweight silk for top fabric ben used
- Approximately 1.5 yards lightweight Silk Habotai for lining
- 22” soft invisible zipper
- Small hook and eye
