In this lesson, I taught how to print and assemble a skirt pattern from the PDF files. The key steps are determining your size from the measurement chart, printing the pattern pieces accurately, and then assembling the printed pages together.

Printing and assembling PDF sewing patterns requires careful measurement verification before printing all pages. Once printed, the pages need to be meticulously assembled by matching lines and reference points.

Lesson Steps:

  • Determine your size from the measurement chart provided with the pattern
  • Print the first page and verify the measurement scale is accurate before printing remaining pages
  • Assemble the printed pages by:
    • Matching lines and reference points using a ruler
    • Cutting along the lines with an exacto knife
    • Taping the pages together at the matched points
  • Assemble the front skirt pattern pieces first (top, middle, bottom)
  • Then assemble the back skirt pattern pieces
  • Once assembled, trace your size line from the pattern onto dot paper to create your final pattern
