In this lesson, I introduced the design for an asymmetric pencil skirt with a flared side, inspired by an Alexander McQueen dress. The skirt will have a fitted pencil silhouette on one side and a longer, flared panel on the other side, with a fully lined interior.
Lesson Steps:
- Discuss the design inspiration from Alexander McQueen’s asymmetric dress
- Explain the plan to create an asymmetric pencil skirt with a flared side panel
- Highlight the intention to use a plaid or tweed fabric for the outer skirt
- Share previous asymmetric designs from Neda’s 2010 “Dualism” collection
- Mention that the new skirt design will be developed from a base skirt pattern
