In this session, I demonstrated how to transfer the draped sleeve pattern onto paper to create a basic sleeve sloper pattern. I explained the slight adjustments made to the draped sleeve for added ease at the top.

Lesson Steps:

  • Transfer the draped sleeve pattern onto a new paper to create the base sloper pattern
  • Add sleeve notches (underarm, bicep, elbow) to the sleeve pattern
  • Decide whether to keep the sleeve pattern straight or slightly curved towards the front
  • For a straight sleeve pattern, equalize the length on both sides and straighten the sleeve from the underarm
  • Refrain from adding seam allowances to explore different sleeve styles

I guided through transferring the draped sleeve to a paper pattern, marking notches, and adjusting the sleeve shape for different styles, laying the foundation for creating various sleeve designs.
