In this session, I taught how to pad a dress form to create a customized body shape for draping and fitting garments.

I demonstrated adding layers of fusible fleece and shaping the padding to achieve desired measurements and proportions.

Lesson Steps:

• Cut and layer fusible fleece onto the dress form, building up the bust, waist, hips, and back areas
• Shape and sculpt the padding by pinching, darting, and smoothing to create curves and contours
• Frequently measure and adjust the padding to match desired body measurements
• Attach breast cups to create a realistic bust shape and placement
• Secure the final padded layers in place with hand stitching
• Cover the padded form with fusible interfacing for a smooth draping surface
