If you're already enrolled, you'll need to log in.

In this session, I demonstrated how to turn the controlled flare skirt into a pattern.

I explained the crucial measurements needed, like the center front length, side lengths, and showed how to draft the pattern pieces on paper.

Lesson Steps:

  • Measured the center front length, side lengths, and determined the waist placement
  • Drew the center front line and marked the waist point
  • Extended the side seam lines from the waist point to create the flare
  • Marked the hem lengths based on measurements
  • Added seam allowances and grainline markings
  • Explained how to cut the fabric using the pattern, considering fabric width
  • Discussed potential fabric yardage needed based on the skirt length
