In this session, I demonstrated how to cut the lace fabric for the front skirt panel of a bridal gown. I explained the measurements and layout needed to create a half-circle skirt pattern based on the model’s height and waist size.

Lesson Steps:

  • Determine the desired length from waist to floor (e.g., 48 inches for a 6′ model)
  • Mark the waist measurement divided by 4 to create the curved waistline
  • Measure and mark the side seam length, slightly longer than the center front
  • Cut the fabric along the marked lines, creating a half-circle skirt front panel
  • Add seam allowance to the waistline curve
