In this lesson, I taught how to create a creatively draped skirt using a 180-degree fold technique. I demonstrated how to prepare the fabric, place it on the dress form, and manipulate it to achieve the desired silhouette. I also showed how to drape the back piece and create darts for a better fit.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Prepare fabric according to measurements in the PDF
  2. Place fabric on dress form, aligning with princess seam
  3. Pin and adjust fabric to create desired drape and silhouette
  4. Smooth fabric around the waist and release tension where needed
  5. Adjust and finalize the front drape
  6. Mark center front, waistline, and hemline
  7. Drape the back piece, creating darts for fit
  8. Add ease to both front and back pieces
  9. Make final adjustments and markings
  10. Prepare to turn the draped pieces into a pattern
