In this lesson, I taught how to transfer a controlled flare skirt from draping to pattern. I demonstrated how to create both the front and back pattern pieces, add length, and create a smooth hemline. I also explained how to add facings and finish the skirt professionally.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Transfer the front piece to pattern paper
  2. Mark important points (waistline, hipline, flares)
  3. Add desired length to the skirt
  4. Draw the hemline curve
  5. Transfer the back piece to pattern paper
  6. True the side seams
  7. Add facing (optional) for bottom and waistline
  8. Add information and markings to the pattern
  9. Include seam allowances
  10. Mark grainlines and cutting instructions

Remember, you can customize the length and add facings or a waistband as desired. The key is to maintain the controlled flare while creating a professional finish.
