In this lesson, I taught how to create a multiple darts bodice pattern. I demonstrated how to transfer the muslin onto dot paper, mark the darts, and create a clean, professional pattern. I emphasized the importance of organization and precision in patternmaking.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Place and pin the bodice muslin on dot paper
  2. Mark the three darts and apex
  3. Trace the bodice outline and dart positions
  4. Remove the muslin and clean up the lines
  5. Fold and mark each dart
  6. Draw the waistline curve
  7. Finalize the armhole and neckline
  8. Add pattern information (grain line, size, cut instructions)
  9. Include seam allowances and notches
  10. Demonstrate how to transfer markings to fabric

I stressed the importance of clean, organized patterns for professional results and explained how to use notches and markings to ensure accurate sewing. Remember, taking the time to create a precise pattern will lead to better-fitting, more professional-looking garments.
