In this lesson, I taught how to drape an armhole princess bodice, which differs from the classic princess bodice. I demonstrated how to prepare the muslin, drape the front and back pieces, and create the side panels. I also explained the importance of adding ease and making adjustments for a proper fit.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Prepare a wider muslin piece with a folded center front
  2. Drape the front bodice piece, aligning with the center front
  3. Mark the apex, neck, shoulder, and armhole points
  4. Drape the front side piece, working around the bust and waistline
  5. Drape the back bodice piece, including a small dart at the shoulder
  6. Drape the back side piece, adding ease where necessary
  7. Mark all seam lines, notches, and reference points
  8. Fold and pin the pieces together, adjusting for fit
  9. Transfer markings and make final adjustments
  10. Review the completed armhole princess bodice
