In this lesson, I taught how to create a classic princess bodice pattern. I demonstrated the process of transferring the drape to paper, truing the lines, and making necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. We focused on both the front and back pieces, paying close attention to the princess seams and overall shape.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Transfer the drape to pattern paper, marking key points and lines
  2. Separate front and back pieces
  3. True the princess seams and check for accuracy
  4. Adjust and correct lines as needed
  5. Match side seams and shoulders
  6. Clean up lines and add seam allowances
  7. Label pattern pieces and add notches
  8. Double-check all measurements and curves
  9. Finalize the pattern pieces for the front, side front, back, and center back

Throughout the process, I emphasized the importance of precision and double-checking our work to ensure a well-fitting bodice pattern.
