In this lesson, I taught how to drape an empire bodice. I demonstrated the process of creating the top and bottom sections of the bodice, including how to add darts, tucks, and ease for a proper fit. I also showed how to drape both the front and back pieces of the bodice.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Prepare and measure muslin for front and back pieces
  2. Drape the front top section, adding tucks or darts as desired
  3. Drape the front bottom section, adjusting for fit
  4. Mark lines and darts on the front piece
  5. Drape the back top section, adding a neck dart
  6. Drape the back bottom section
  7. Mark lines and darts on the back piece
  8. Attach side seams and adjust for proper fit
  9. Finalize markings and check overall silhouette

Throughout the lesson, I emphasized the importance of proper grain placement, ease allowance, and the flexibility to adjust the design based on personal preference and fabric choice.
