In this lesson, I taught how to create a very close-fitting full body princess sloper. I demonstrated transferring the pattern to dot paper, separating the pieces, and making necessary adjustments for a snug fit. The focus was on creating an accurate, close-fitting pattern that could potentially be used as a dress form cover.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Transfer pattern to dot paper, separating front and back pieces
  2. Trace and pin pattern pieces, marking reference points (waist, bust, hip lines)
  3. Draw and adjust neckline, armholes, and other curves
  4. Measure and compare pattern pieces to ensure accuracy
  5. Separate front and back pieces, adding seam allowances
  6. Add notches at key points (hemline, waistline, bustline)
  7. Make final adjustments for a very close fit
  8. Cut out pattern pieces
  9. Prepare for sewing, including interfacing recommendation and zipper placement
