In this lesson, I taught how to create a schematic for a sleeve sloper. I demonstrated how to draw the initial diagram, divide it into sections, and create the curved armhole shape. I also showed how to transfer the pattern to muslin and prepare it for fitting.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Draw the initial sleeve diagram with length and width measurements
  2. Divide the sleeve into sections (front, back, bicep, elbow, wrist)
  3. Create the curved armhole shape using specific measurements
  4. Transfer the pattern to muslin fabric
  5. Mark important points (elbow, bicep, underarm) on the muslin
  6. Cut out the sleeve pieces and add necessary markings
  7. Sew the side seams of the sleeve
  8. Prepare a body sloper to attach the sleeve for fitting

I explained that this method is a hybrid approach, combining drafting and draping techniques. I emphasized the importance of finding the best sloper that works for you before moving on to different sleeve styles.
