In this lesson, I taught how to drape a princess line skirt foundation-sloper. I demonstrated the process of draping the front and back pieces, focusing on achieving the correct fit and shape. The lesson covered creating a natural fit, marking important lines, and assembling the pieces to check the overall silhouette.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Start with the center front piece, aligning it with the fold and straight grain
  2. Drape the side front piece, securing it to the dress form
  3. Mark waistline, hip line, and princess seam on both front pieces
  4. Attach front pieces together to check fit and make adjustments
  5. Move to the back, starting with the center back piece
  6. Drape the side back piece, focusing on creating the desired curve
  7. Mark important lines on back pieces and attach them together
  8. Connect side seams and check overall fit of the skirt
  9. Make final adjustments and mark final lines
  10. Remove the draped pieces from the dress form
  11. Transfer the draped pieces to create the pattern
