In this lesson, I demonstrated how to properly position and attach the breast cups to the bodice. This step is crucial for achieving the desired fit and support in the bust area.

I showed how to pin the breast cups in the desired location, leaving a bit of seam allowance for adjustment. I also explained that I prefer tacking the cups with small stitches rather than sewing them all the way around to avoid flattening the shape.

Lesson Steps:

  • Pin the breast cups in the desired position, leaving a little extra seam allowance
  • Ensure the cups are symmetrically placed on both sides
  • At the sewing machine, tack the cups with small stitches at the top, bottom, and sides
  • Avoid sewing all the way around the cups to prevent flattening the shape
  • Make any necessary adjustments to the cup placement before proceeding
