In this lesson, I taught how to attach and fit a sleeve sloper to the bodice. I demonstrated the process of matching seams, easing the sleeve cap, and pinning it in place. The focus was on achieving a clean fit without excessive ease at the top of the sleeve.

Lesson Steps:

  • Attach the bottom side seam of the sleeve, matching notches and pinning from the inside
  • Match the sleeve’s shoulder line to the bodice’s shoulder seam
  • Ease the sleeve cap area using a basting stitch if needed
  • Divide and spread the ease evenly around the armhole
  • Pin the sleeve to the bodice, adjusting as necessary
  • Check the fit, ensuring a clean look with minimal ease at the top
  • Make any final adjustments, such as adding length to the wrist if needed
  • Transform the fitted sleeve into a sloper pattern
