In this session, I demonstrated how to sew the bonings (rigid interfacing strips) to the lining of the dress. I first applied interfacing on top of the bonings and pressed them carefully to avoid melting. Then, I positioned the center front piece along the marked center line and sewed the boning on either side of the seam.

Lesson Steps:

  • Apply interfacing on top of the bonings and press carefully without overheating
  • Position the center front lining piece along the marked center line
  • Sew the boning on one side of the center seam, from top to bottom
  • Turn and sew the boning on the other side of the center seam
  • Repeat for all remaining boning sections on the lining
  • Once all bonings are sewn, attach the breast cups
  • Finally, sew the zipper onto the top shell
