In this lesson, I taught how to create a very close fitting full body jersey sloper. I demonstrated how to transfer measurements from a dress form to paper, make necessary adjustments, and finalize the pattern for both front and back pieces.

Lesson Steps:

  1. Pin and transfer the front piece to paper, aligning with the grid
  2. Draw lines for center front, neckline, shoulder, armhole, and bust line
  3. Measure and adjust the front piece as needed
  4. Transfer and adjust the back piece, matching side seams with the front
  5. Correct shoulder measurements on both pieces
  6. Refine neckline and armhole shapes
  7. Soften and round out side seams
  8. Label the pattern pieces (no seam allowance added)
  9. Finalize the very close fitting full body jersey sloper

This sloper can be used as a base for various tops and as a lining for draped garments. It’s a versatile tool for future projects in stretch fabrics.
